For the first time, but not the last
The first day of December and the first day of the work week and the first time everyone saw a dear colleague in such a terrible mood. He's never had something bad to say about others and he's never raised his voice at others, even when he was being scolded by the bosses; in my impression he's always very collected though not quite as firm. I guess that's why he always bears the brunt of the bosses' frustration even if the mistake he makes usually don't deserve such outpouring of verbal nonsense from the 2 bosses.
Today he finally blew but unfortunately, the bosses have gone out already. It would have been good for them to realise that they can't go on pushing his buttons, even though he doesn't retaliate most of the time. Well, it's time he has to stand for what he wants, including not getting pushed around.
This month is going to be quite hellish for all of us; there is going to be tonnes of overtime work to do and I guess we are all willing to do within reasonable limit. However, the bosses have a tendency to order you to come in over the weekend and wait around for work to do. That's brilliant stupidity and what a waste of time and resources. They are always so busy controlling all the minute details that they don't have time to delegate work to their employees. We're always having to wait around for work to do and in the process, we don't work during working hours but end up working overtime.
